Responding to Sexual Abuse & Sexual Assault Workshop May 29 and 30. 2012

CCASA is excited to present the Alberta Association of Sexual Assault Services 2-day workshop “Responding to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Assault” on Wednesday May 29 and Thursday May 30, 2012.

This workshop will provide participants with education and skill development in the following areas:
– Responding to disclosures of sexual abuse & sexual assault
– Definitions, myths & laws about the various types of sexual abuse & sexual assault
– Training in immediate & long term impacts of sexual abuse & sexual assault

This training is open to, but not limited to, individuals who work in Health, Social Services, and Education & Justice. Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Workers, Teachers, School Counselors, Police Officers, Victim Services Workers, as well as Faith Leaders are welcome.
