CCASA will be running in the Scotiabank Marathon

On Sunday May 27, CCASA will be participating in the 2012 Scotiabank Marathon to raise awareness of sexual violence in our community and raise much needed funds.

Sexual violence is a crime that affects many people in our communities. In Calgary, studies show that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse by the age of 16.  Sexual violence exists in silence, secrecy and shame but with your help we can help break that silence and raise awareness of this issue.

We would like to invite anyone and everyone to join in our cause by either running with our team (in any of the race categories) or by donating to CCASA.
To sign up for participation in a running event, please visit:
http://www.eventsonline.ca/events/calgary_marathon/  Here you will find out information on all of the running events, their start times and a location to choose the one that is right for you.
**If you plan to run and raise funds for CCASA please contact Jana Hands 403.237-6905 ext. 233 and you will be given a special promotional code for a discounted entry fee.

If you are unable to run, but would still like to support CCASA by making a donation, please visit:
http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=1393829&langPref=en-CA
**Tax receipts will be issued for donations.

Please support CCASA in this run as we all have something to gain by becoming involved in the prevention of the horrific crime of sexual violence.

For more information please read our poster.
