On April 27 Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) held its first fundraiser – kickstART, an art auction. Guests enjoyed wine and cheese while viewing the unique pieces of art which are available to bid on through our online silent auction until 4:00PM this Friday.
CCASA is now excited to invite everyone to attend our closing Gala event for kickstART this Friday, May 27 at STONEWORX Gallery in upper level Art Central (213, 100 – 7th Avenue SW). The evening will begin at 5:30PM when guests are invited to enjoy some wine and appetizers. At this time, and throughout the evening attendees can make a $20 donation for 10 chances to win door prizes or a $20 donation for 2 chances to win premium door prizes (we cannot issue tax receipts for these donations). At 6:00PM the silent auction will reopen live at STONEWORX Gallery and the bidding will continue until 7:00PM. Immediately following the closing of the silent auction, door prize winners will be announced (you must be in attendance to receive your prize) and the highest bidders in the silent auction will be awarded their art.
If you are unable to attend the event but still wish to bid on the art you can call one of the following numbers and a representative will inform you of the most recent bid for the piece you are interested in. If you then wish to bid on that piece the CCASA representative will take down your information and place the bid on your behalf.
Please note: This does not guarantee that you will not be outbid however you can continue to call the phone lines as many times as you want throughout the evening to place bids.

CCASA truly appreciates the support we have received from the art community and strongly believes in supporting local artists and building strong relationships in the community. CCASA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping those who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual assault. We are hoping to raise $7,000 through this event to help support our various programs and already we have raised $2,561. Please come out and help us reach our goal and support survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault. We will be accepting cash, Visa and MasterCard at the event.
