We believe that
Sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual assault are acts of violence that affect all individuals, families and communities.
Sexual violence is based in the abuse of power and control and is a significant part of the broader continuum of violence and abuse.
Sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual assault issues must be addressed by the community in a proactive and inclusive manner.

The community must be involved in the development and delivery of effective services.
Volunteers contributions an invaluable source of strength and support in providing high-quality services to those affected by sexual abuse and sexual assault.
We are committed to providing a healthy society that is respectful, open and inclusive.

We provide unique, ethical trauma and sexual violence specialized services in Calgary and the surrounding areas, and we take a holistic approach to our practice. CCASA is client centred, which means that people define their own process of healing; what is important and necessary for themselves in terms of what they address throughout their journey. We understand that healing looks different for everyone and people may need to engage with CCASA at different times as they heal.
We believe that individuals who choose behaviour that is abusive or violent are 100% responsible for their decisions and that those they choose to harm bear no responsibility.
People can heal from trauma caused by sexual violence. CCASA’s role in this is to walk beside them in their healing journeys by facilitating safety, and providing support, interventions and compassion.
