Training

Training workshops are designed for professionals working in helping and human services professions. You’ll learn more about sexual violence and gain the skills to create safer work environments, respond to clients, and support people who experience sexual violence. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

Clinical and Public Health Workshops

Supporters need support as they navigate the complexities and impacts of sexual violence on clients and patients. Our training helps professionals enhance their knowledge and skills regarding sexual violence and the impacts on those they serve. These trainings also provide essential self-care tools for helping professionals. Workshops can be offered virtually, at your location, or in the CCASA office. Custom programming is also available.

This training is for professionals working in the helping profession and human services field. You will gain the skills and knowledge to recognize the impacts of your work and understand the potential signs of empathetic strain, vicarious trauma, and burnout. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

  • Recognizing signs of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue/empathetic strain

Workplace workshops engage all members of your team. Our approach minimizes any discomfort your team may feel and focuses on teaching them how to work together better. Workshops can be offered virtually, at your location, or in the CCASA office. Custom programming is also available.

In this research-informed workplace sexual harassment training, you’ll gain insight into what sexual harassment is and what it looks like and explore engagement strategies toward ending workplace sexual harassment and improving workplace culture. This online-only workshop uses best practices for adult online learning. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

  • How to help stop sexual harassment as someone who:

Professionals will learn about child sexual abuse, gaining the skills to respond and an overall understanding of why positive and supportive responses are so vital in disclosures of child sexual abuse. Optional 1-hour skills practice and role-play session are available. You will receive a certificate upon completion.

Child and Youth Education Workshops

If you work with children and youth and are interested in delivering programming yourself, you may be interested in licensing our child and youth workshops: “Who Do You Tell?”™ and Birch Grove™.

The “Who Do You Tell?”™ and Birch Grove™ programs for children and youth can be licensed for a fee by approved organizations, with CCASA providing ongoing training and consultation. A screening interview will be conducted to determine an organization’s capacity for delivering this programming.
