Karen Baker (she/her) is the Director of Finance, IT and Administration for Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse and has been with the organization since 2011. Being a team orientated individual, Karen focuses her skills on keeping the organization running smoothly.
Karen was born and raised on the south coast of England and moved to Canada in the fall of 2001. Her working background is in finance, working for a major banking corporation in the UK for 13 years and obtaining the position of manager before she took leave to have two children and move to Canada.
Having taken a break from her career to raise her children, Karen re-entered the workforce doing various jobs until she was hired at CCASA and through hard work and determination, upgraded her skillset at SAIT to align with CCASA’s needs.
Karen has always, from an early age, wanted to help people and to be able to do something that makes a difference in this world.
