CCASA is offering another 2 day- First Responder Workshop on March 19 & 20th, 2013 titled ‘Responding to Sexual Abuse & Sexual Assault.’
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS LEARN?
This 2 day workshop will provide participants with education and skill development in the following areas:
– Responding to disclosures of sexual abuse & sexual assault
– Definitions, myths & laws about the various types of sexual abuse & sexual assault
– Training in immediate & long term impacts of sexual abuse & sexual assault
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This training is open to, but not limited to, individuals who work in Health, Social Services, and Education & Justice. Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Workers, Teachers, School Counselors, Police Officers, Victim Services Workers, as well as Faith Leaders are welcome.
