CCASA Volunteer Program

Volunteers are essential to the high quality of service delivery CCASA offers. Volunteers make a contribution in helping to raise awareness about the issue of sexual abuse and sexual assault to communities in Calgary and surrounding area. CCASA volunteers make a real difference in the lives of those affected by the various forms of sexual abuse and sexual assault. In 2005, volunteers contributed 11,495 hours to support CCASA’s programs.

CCASA has volunteer opportunities in the following areas:

24 hour Support and Information Line: answer calls on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Administration: volunteers assist with translation and with clerical duties such as photocopying, preparing packages, etc…

Interpretation: volunteers use their second language skill to benefit CCASA clients or help with community events.

Committees: plan, organize, shape and impact the agency’s activities by joining CCASA’s various committees.
