Sexual Assault Worker – Call-Out Team
CCASA is excited to offer part-time positions to individuasl who are interested in continuing to build their skills in community development, education and direct client service work on the Calgary Sexual Assault Response Team (CSART). These positions cover hospital/police call-outs in the evenings/overnight, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities of a Sexual Assault Worker include:
- Crisis intervention
- Assessments and safety planning
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team with the police and medical services
- Advocacy
The successful applicants will have the following qualifications:
- A degree in social/human services
- 3-5 years direct related work experience
- Possess a feminist analysis of sexual violence
- Crisis intervention and assessment skills
- Experience working with the effects of sexual violence on individuals and communities
- The ability to work with various community and professional services
- Professional registration
Note: These are on call shifts; therefore payment occurs when a staff member is called out to the hospital.
